Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, October 17th at the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, Cyclone, WV with Rev. Kenneth Adkins officiating. She will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 pm on Sunday, October 16th at the church.

She was born January 31st, 1970 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Hannah Hendricks of Mullensville, WV. Jody loved spending time with her grandchildren, children, and husband of 32 years. She also enjoyed going to the beach and going to Tennessee with her family. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Mae Browning, a sister, Cynthia Bronson, a very special friend, Mike Stafford.
Samantha Lou Honaker, 48, of Bradshaw, WV, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1974 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Donald Collier and Sandra Foxx Cole. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Meagan Penley. Survivors include her sister, Jennifer Blakely and husband Kenny of Jolo, WV, a brother, Tracy Collier and wife Martha of Panther, WV, two daughters, Shanna Kurtz and husband Kenneth, Mikayla Robbins all of NC, and Isabella Honaker of Jolo, WV, three grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, October 20th at the Upon the Rock Ministry, Raysal, WV with Pastor Sandra Bryant and Pastor Jeremy Compton officiating.

Herbert entered into rest on December 9, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On August 24, 1964 Herb married the love of his life who hitchhiked to Oklahoma where he met Melinda and fell in love and into this union 5 girls were born.

She was a member of the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church where she served as treasurer, Sunday School Secretary, a member and Vice President of the Ladies Aid, and co-chairman of the shoebox drive. Working in the church brought joy to her, and she was always ready to help in any way needed. Balinda was a good example of someone with a “Servant Heart”. She dearly loved her church family and will be greatly missed by Bright Prospect.
